At the tender age of 13, Maiya Smith became an internet sensation. The Ngāti Kahungunu teenager from Hamilton is one of the dancers in hip-hop star Ciara's video ‘Level up’. Maiya has danced with Paris Goebel’s ‘Royal Family’ for eight years and is touring Australia with the VHS TAPES TOUR. Maiya taught a Hip Hop dance to over 150 ākonga in just one day! It was a day to be remembered at Tauranga Girls’ College.
