On Friday 12 March, 11 of our senior girls travelled to Rotorua for the BOP Secondary Schools Tennis Tournament.

The Wikohika twins, Maea and Tearani, competed in division two singles. They played some well matched games which could have gone either way. Maea ended up coming second, and Tearani fourth. Unfortunately for our division two doubles competitors, this year it was decided to not run a division one competition. This meant that players who could have been in division one were now in division two. Although our girls tried their hardest, the competition this year was just too strong and we were not placed. We had a lot of fun, and we were fairly exhausted by the end of this tournament.

Congratulations go to Sophie Karl. Sophie represented us in division one singles. She played beautifully, and hardly lost a game all day. Sophie was the clear winner of this division to become the 2021 Senior BOP Girls Champion.

All of our girls were a pleasure to take away for the day.
