Flashmob Fun!!!!

Dance —

Students gathered around J block at lunchtime were treated to two flashmobs over the last week thanks to our Year 10 Dance students!

This term our Year 10 Dance students have been developing an awareness of the importance of human interface through Dance. They have been exploring the benefits, impacts, ethical concerns, and globilisation of technology for learning dance.

Their learning culminated in two dance flash mobs outside J Block last week that wowed their peers with eye-catching dance routines to Grease and Mamma Mia! There were even a few appearances by teachers!

"A flash mob is a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform for a brief time, then quickly disperse, often for the purposes of entertainment, satire, and artistic expression"

This was a great way for our Dance students to perform for a live audience and a real pick me up for student wellbeing at the end of a busy term.
