Seeds of Change Article

TGC —

The Jam Factory Venue at the Historical Village came alive on September 29th with the sold-out performances of Seeds of Change, a powerful play by Aiza Mustasam that captivated audiences with its urgent message about environmental justice

The play, which showcased two performances at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm, explored the impact of a corrupt company on the environment and followed a group of brave women standing up for those affected.

“Seeds of Change was an amazing opportunity for the cast as actors, but also for people who care for the environment. With Aiza's directing we performed an amazing show twice that left us bittersweet when we realized that it was over. Everyone involved became close and by the end - to quote Aiza - ‘we were family’.” - Brooke Barnett, Year 11

“Seeds of Change was written and directed by the talented Aiza, who tackled the huge topic of climate change. I was honored to be able to play the role of Candace Bure and bring a play about such a critical and urgent topic alive with the help of an amazing cast. I wouldn't have wanted to do this with anyone else and as Brooke has already mentioned, it was such a bittersweet moment when we took our last bow. Thank you so much to everyone who supported us and a huge thank you to Aiza for being an amazing director.” - Jemma Miri, Year 10
