The weather held out for the BOP Junior Secondary Schools Championships, which were held in Rotorua. We managed to get all of our games played before the rain. It was a successful day for all our students, whether they were placed in the top 3 of their division or just managed to play their best in their first-ever tournament.

We had some excellent results:

• Winners Division 1 doubles: Livvy Perenara and Brooke Valois

• Runners up Division 2 doubles: Bailey Baxter and Ella Robinson

• Third place Division 2 singles: Libby Morell

Ms Thomason would like to thank all past and present Tauranga Girls’ College tennis players for their excellent efforts, successes and spirit for the last 20-plus years. She has enjoyed every minute of coaching and managing these girls.
