My art represents the human desire for things we simply cannot have. In a materialistic society, an individual’s values are based around those of needs and wants in a way that are often twisted and changed from our true selves to meet expectations. The painting is also about not giving into the pressure of society. I used techniques such as blending, rolling and the rule of thirds to engage interest and give the picture a sense of organised chaos.
