This year, Tauranga Girls’ College had three ākonga receive ICAS Medals for being the top New Zealand participants in their chosen disciplines.

This is a record-breaking number of winners from our kura and shows the high calibre of academic success at TGC.

Year 10 ākonga Alana Burling received a medal for being the Top New Zealand Participant in Year 10 ICAS English, Year 12 ākonga Judy Shin received a medal for being the Top New Zealand Participant in Year 12 ICAS Mathematics, and Year 13 ākonga Ella Mitchell received a medal for being the Top New Zealand Participant in ICAS Writing.

“I’m quite excited about it! Although the test was challenging, I’m proud to be one of the three medal winners from our school,” says Judy.
