Ruby Handley Level 3 Design

I'm Ruby, a Year 13 student who takes design as a subject. These are my character and logo developments for what will be the beginning of my Level Three design board, it is a graphic novel for the young audience. The story is based on two characters named Chleo and Chloris, Chleo is a negative, gloomy and grumpy human, while Chloris is an optimistic, bubbly, kind, flower.

Chleo, Chloris & the Rain:

Chleo hated the rain. It made the ground muddy, it made his shoes wet and his clothes soggy. It got into his eyes and messed up his hair. Every day Chleo would get ready to walk to work, prepared to return home cold and drenched. Chleo hated the rain. Why wouldn't it go away? Why did it have to hang around & annoy him?

*Chloris enters frame*

Seeing Chleo is miserable, Chloris Hands Chleo an umbrella - things start to brighten as they start to explain why rain is really fantastic.

Chloris says: "Rain is beautiful! The rain sings you lullabies, it falls from pretty clouds, and makes puddles to splash in! But most importantly, without rain, there would be no plants, no rainbows, no flowers, no me! Walk in the rain, don't just get wet. Love the rain, don't hate it."
