Our two senior Badminton teams finally got to play in the BOP Secondary school Badminton championship on Friday 29 October.

This tournament had been postponed owing to COVID, and as a result, two of our players had pulled out of the team. Even the day before the competition we just about lost another player owing to illness! 

So we are truly grateful to the girls who stepped up to play for us, even with very short notice. Our hard work paid off as during the day our school only lost to one other school! There were some excellent well fought matches, during which TGC students worked co-operatively and enthusiastically to get the best out of each other. 

As a result, both of our teams came away with silver medals which was exciting. Our Division 2 team consisted of: Eesha Freemantle, Jin Lee and Kyra Addison, and our Division 3 team were: Issey Ho, Ashlen Kaur, Via Lopez and Yannie Ho. 

These students represented TGC with superb sportswomanship both on and off the court.
