A warm welcome back to all students, with an extra special welcome to our Year 9 students and their whānau.

It’s been fantastic to see so many making the most of the library for both study and recreational reading. 

A special welcome must also go to our returning student librarians and all those stepping up to support the library in 2025. Your help is invaluable.

Alongside new books arriving, the library will be running a reading challenge each month. Students who read a book from the TGC Library on one of the monthly themes can go in the prize draw for a small goodie bag. The library will also run various craft activities and competitions throughout the year - so keep an eye on the daily notices and your student email. 

SLANZA (School Library Association New Zealand Aotearoa) would like to offer students the opportunity to design a poster for Aotearoa School Library Week 2025. Please see the attached poster outlining their requirements, deadlines, and prizes. All images must be the student's original artwork (i.e. no Canva images). Please see a school librarian for further information. Get creative and have a chance to win!
