My trip of a lifetime on the Spirit of Adventure

Amy Haig —

The Spirit of Adventure is an experience I will never forget. Initially, it was a bit nerve-racking to know that I would be living on a boat for ten days with 39 total strangers, but by the end of the voyage, I had a second family, who are some of the best people I have ever met.

The voyage was an excellent opportunity to learn about many different things like navigation, sailing and what it's like living on a boat. There were so many once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, like climbing to the top of a 28m high mast, sailing in a boat that looked like a pirate ship and meeting a bunch of like-minded people who will be lifelong friends for any adventure.

I loved every minute of the experience, and I didn't want it ever to be over. I wish to thank my family for supporting me and the crew and teammates who made this “my trip of a lifetime”. I would recommend it to anyone who loves adventures and escaping from reality.
