NCEA Literacy and Numeracy Assessment Results 2024
NZQA has published the final results for the 2024 Literacy and Numeracy assessments. Congratulations to all ākonga who have gained these credits.
Students and whānau can access these results via the KAMAR portal or the NZQA platform. Students will be required to achieve 10 Literacy and 10 Numeracy Credits in order to obtain the NCEA qualification.
National data tells us that 55 - 60% of students will obtain these assessments in Year 10. Other students should gain their Literacy and Numeracy in Yr 11, 12, and 13. Students should be aware of which standards in each of their chosen subjects allows them to gain these important literacy and numeracy credits. Parents and whānau play an important role in this too and can support their young people by having a korero at home.
Further assessment opportunities for students yet to achieve their Literacy and Numeracy credits will be offered through the NCEA Literacy and Numeracy assessments, and /or through other tagged NCEA Achievement standards offered at Tauranga Girls’ College. The list of potential literacy and numeracy standards can be viewed below.
