Principal —

Kia ora TGC whānau, parents and caregivers

Celebrating our talented students!! It is my privilege to lead a school with such talent across a vast array of fields. The opportunities that TGC provides is second to none and our new students remind us that this is one of the points of difference when choosing to come to Tauranga Girls’ College. I am very fortunate to have such a committed and capable team of colleagues who are committed to providing such rich opportunities.

Enrolments 2022

A team of staff along with the Principal are out and about visiting our contributing schools soon and sharing information with potential new students. We are excited by the number of students that will be engaging with us. Please share our school's Open Evening with friends and family. Open Evening Thursday 5 August 5.30pm in our Sports Hall.

Being Safe

A reminder to all of our students and families that during winter hours, it is even more important to ensure that students walk home in well lit areas, meet in safe locations if being picked up after hours and report any unsavoury behaviour to the Police by calling 105 or if urgent dialing 111.

Valuing Diversity

You will see that one of the BoTs strategic intentions is valuing diversity. In order to do this, one aspect of school life we have looked at is our languaging of our ‘mufti days’ (see article), also ensuring that the Hauora and wellbeing of all is celebrated, and that the valuing of community service is important in developing community minded TGC students. Stay tuned for other examples of the mahi we continue to do in this space.
