On Friday, 25 August, we had our first Netball Prizegiving to celebrate all the Tauranga Girls’ College Netball teams.

Each team gave out awards for Sportsmanship, Greatest Gains and MVP. We also celebrated any team who had won their division or were runners-up. In total, we won ten trophies from the Tauranga Netball Centre competition. We also celebrated our student umpires, coaches, and Tauranga Netball Centre representative players.

Our Premier ladies hosted the evening and gave raffle tickets to everyone who entered the hall. At the end of the prizegiving, we gave away several chocolate bars, shoe bags and two Rebel Sports vouchers.

The Captains of the Junior A presented the Premier team with a tiger wearing a Tauranga Girls’ College Netball dress as a good luck mascot for them to take away to the Upper North Island Secondary School Competition (UNISS).
