Our competitive students took to the pool on Thursday morning and came away with some fantastic accomplishments:

Junior champions:

3rd: Lily Smith - Te Auetu

Intermediate champions:

1st: Trelise Chote - Sheppard

2nd: Tetsani Thompson - Batten

3rd equal: Amelie Pearson - Sheppard

3rd equal: Jessica Pilbrow - Sheppard

Senior champions:

1st: Arianna Roberts - Batten

2nd: Niamh Manning - Sheppard

3rd: Stephanie Wong - Sheppard

Congratulations everyone!

The weather managed to hold out just enough for our festival events to go ahead later in the day, and not even the rain could dampen our TGC House Spirit! All five houses gave the House Chant competition their absolute all, but Batten proved the hungriest in the end! The blue bunch did the “munchy munch” and took out the title, with Te Auetu in a close second place. Sheppard claimed the top spot in our last inter-house event of the day - the tube relay, with Whina close behind in second and Batten in third.

Seeing everyone out there giving it a go, wearing their house colours, participating for house points, and cheering on Tauranga Girls’ College’s infamous manu competition was fantastic.
