Po Fia Fia Night - Hospitality Catering

TGC —

On Friday, the 24 March, the Po Fia Fia Pasifika whānau occurred. Level 1 Hospitality, with the assistance of L2 Hospitality, prepared and cooked the kai for the evening.

Ākonga were lucky enough to have a member of the Pasifika community and the Tauranga Girls’ College community teach us how to make a much-loved dish in her whānau - Chop Suey.

Ākonga practised their knife skills by preparing an abundance of coleslaw, their salad-making skills to prepare potato salad, and, of course, harnessing their baking skills to prepare chewy, delicious cookies. The night was a great success, and whānau left with full bellies thanks to the Hospitality team.

A special thanks to Megan Nelis for her excellent contribution.
