Year 9 Activities Day

40 of our girls enjoyed an experience on the Wairoa River. Launching from the Omanawa River, they paddled a 7.5km scenic flat water paddle back to Waimarino Adventure Park where they enjoyed some water fun at the park.

A highlight was stopping en route to learn about the pūrākau (story) of Poripori, a very large taniwha who was chased out of the Wairoa River and Tauranga area by Te Pura.
