Over the summer break a number of our senior international students choose to stay with us rather than return home, otherwise they would not have been allowed back into the country by Immigration New Zealand.
To help the girls have a positive and caring experience, we provided a programme of activities that included:
NZET South Island tour for 10 days
Baking of Christmas goodies to share with their host families
Learning to Surf
Pool party followed by KFC for lunch
Hamilton Zoo and shopping
Attending the Bay Learning Academy for a week
A great time was had by all the girls and these activities along with the support they received from the International Department and their Homestay families helped them cope during a difficult time.
