Tauranga Girls' College made waves at the recent Regional Mataatua 59th Manu Kōrero Competition held on Friday, 7th June 2024, at the Tauranga Campus of the University of Waikato. This prestigious event marked a significant milestone for TGC students entering all four categories for the first time in many years. These talented students showcased their dedication to promoting Māori oratory and expression amongst their peers.

The competition, a platform for rangatahi to voice their perspectives, provided an opportunity for students to hone their oratory skills and share their thoughts on a range of topics. Tauranga Girls' College took full advantage of this platform, with participants delivering compelling speeches that resonated with the audience and judges alike.
