Tauranga Girls’ College competed in the Bay of Plenty Individual Secondary Schools Squash Tournament in Te Puke. The team is relatively young, with many Year 9 students having a go at a tournament and representing Tauranga Girls’ College for the first time.
Some great games were played, some long and others short. Everyone got three matches and a fun time away practising the skills we have been learning every Wednesday morning at the Devoy Squash Club. The result was that our players’ confidence improved, and they gained lots of experience for their next event coming up in 2 weeks.
