The Tauranga Girls’ College Golf team who are; Tania Ellis, Judy Shin and Maddy Sherwood, travelled to Whakatane to play in the BOP Secondary Schools Golf Tournament. It was such a beautiful day to play golf, the course was challenging with fast greens and extra rough to encourage us all to stay on the fairway. A good balance of interesting hills and doglegs to the right. We all drove home feeling like we had spent four and a half hours walking up and down hills. We all enjoyed the golf and the fresh air. Tania Ellis had a brilliant game, shooting a 77 off the stick and achieving a net 70 which was the top female score for the day, congratulations Tania. Rotorua Boys’ won the teams competition.
