We had an exciting and memorable trip to Auckland to experience New Zealand Fashion.

First, we visited Whitcliffe Fashion Design School, where we heard from current fashion students about the inspiration that has driven their current pieces. We looked at works from the students exhibiting their work in NZ Fashion Week and got to check out students' design work, sustainable dyeing methods and textile art pieces that have inspired new ideas to further our work. Not to mention looking around the fashion design workshop space. We also got to see and hear about a new course Whitecliffe is offering for Jewellery Design and the possibilities this field has to offer.

It wouldn’t be a trip to Auckland without some fashion shopping, and we visited Draper Fabrics and The Fabric Shop in Otara on our way out of Auckland to purchase fabric for our next school project after “doing lunch” in Newmarket, of course.

It was a tough day out!
