COVID-19 UPDATE
There is NO known community transmission here in Tauranga, this is simply a timely reminder
If you have been following the news lately, there has been a change to Alert Levels in the Wellington area after a traveler from Sydney came to the capital city (and since returning home has tested positive for COVID-19).
Wellington area is now in Alert Level 2 as of 6pm yesterday and there are several places of interest which you will need to be aware of if you were in Wellington for work or the time that has been identified. See link Wellington places of interest / locations.
Here in Tauranga, like the rest of the country are in Alert Level 1. What we do understand is that things can change quickly and therefore we must ensure we remind ourselves and others of good health hygiene, using the QR code and have Bluetooth switched on when visiting places outside of school. Please could you remind students of this today as its our collective responsibility to support this.It is also timely to ensure we are all using the google classroom to remain connected with anyone who is away - i.e sick, tangi, representing the school on an event, etc etc AND of course, if they are asked to stay at home and self isolate because they have been contacted by the Ministry of Health.
Once again, if you feel unwell, please stay home. In the case of a student, send them to the sick bay.
