Last month our Big Band proudly represented Tauranga Girls’ College at the 45th National Youth Jazz Competition at Baycourt Community & Arts Centre. Across the three competition days, secondary schools from across the country came together to put on an exciting programme of performances, workshops and jams.

We are very proud of our talented players who worked exceptionally hard to make up for our senior musicians, that were a strong part of the band. Thanks to Abbey Lindsey from Mount Maunganui College, who supported our trumpet section. Congratulations to soloists Kell Crowther, Finn Sargisson, Skylar Sargisson, Giselle Li and Maea Wikohika.
