The NZ Secondary School Championships are to be held in Tauranga this year from the 11-13 December.

We have a team of 13 athletes competing in a mix of track and field events, as well as school teams entered in three relay events. The programme commences at 1pm on Friday 11 December and finishes at 5.30pm on Sunday 13 December. Our students would love some support if you are in the area. Girls competing are Kayli Tuiraviravi, Maia Flint, Morgan Riley, Molly Cachmemaille, Rebecca Eggersgluz, Olivia Hala, Lily Keogh, Meadow Maharey, Candice Pretorious, Mia Quirke, Ella Vrieze and Abi Wikeepa, and we wish these girls all the best for their events.

Volunteers are also needed for this event and if you were able to give some time over the weekend the organising committee would really appreciate it. Volunteers will support the officials on the track, on the field events (javelin, shot put, discus and hammer), usher athletes to and from the track and other duties. If you can give 1, 2 or 3 days - that would be great. Every volunteer will receive a T-shirt, bucket hat and a meal.
