Tauranga Girls’ College is proud to announce that four of our Contemporary Māori Art ākonga have had seven artworks selected for Ringa Toi 2023. The exhibition is held at Te Papa Tongarewa, Museum of New Zealand on Rongomaraeroa Marae, Wellington from 26 September - 10 October 2023

Ringa Toi is an NZQA student exhibition celebrating excellence in toi Māori (Māori art) for Levels​​ NCEA 1,2 and 3. The selection process involves NZ secondary school students submitting their contemporary and traditional artwork with a description of its meaning and what has inspired their artwork. The curators compare the works within their particular categories and choose based on what is aesthetically and technically the strongest pieces for the show.
