King Lear Trip
Last month, the Year 13 drama class had the pleasure of travelling to Auckland to see the Shakespeare tragedy King Lear. It was undoubtedly a trip to be remembered, seeing as it was the first time we had gone on a trip together throughout our NCEA journey. Sitting together at the front of the traverse stage, watching the play unfold, was something for the whole class to remember, from swooning over Edmund and Burgundy to laughing at the Fool’s eccentric antics to crying on the shoulders of our neighbour at the tragic ending. It’s safe to say that it was one of our best memories yet.
However, this trip would not have been possible without those who made it possible, and therefore, a huge thank you to Ms Cassells and Ms Scully for organising this trip and to the Auckland Theatre Company for making this possible for us!
