On Wednesday 12 October, I had an amazing opportunity to go to Ohakea Airforce base for the day to have a look at the logistics trade!

I was one of 40 people out of New Zealand to attend! Everything was paid for including flights and food. We looked around all the different areas of logistics, sat in the A109 and NH90 helicopters and had lunch in the mess hall.

The experience was definitely worth it and it certainly helped me learn more about what the airforce is all about. I would definitely recommend going. I am hoping to follow a Career Pathway in Aviation, beginning with a course at Toi Ohomai - Pukenga.
