Summer Tournament Wrap Up
Athletics
Saskia Rhind U18 - 1st Shot Put, 1st Hurdles (PB), 4th High Jump and 5th Javelin
Maia Poutawera U16 - 1st 4x400m relay (Meet Record) and 4th 400m
Ruby Jones - 5th Discus (PB), 6th Shot Put
Basketball 3x3
Senior Premier Team National Champions and Honey Cooney got MVP of the tournament. Our Junior teams both placed 5th in their divisions
Cricket
Competed in the Northern Districts Qualifying Tournament for the NZSS Championships at the end of the year. The team were unbeaten in all 5 games coming away as the Champions of the Tournament.
Futsal
Senior Futsal team placed 2nd overall in the Senior division and the Juniors placed 3rd in their division.
Rowing
Lots of great rowing throughout the week with many making it into finals and out U16 double sculls Hannah Ross-Evans and Amy Everitt making it into the A final and placing 6th in New Zealand. Hannah also made the B final for U16 single sculls placing 4th which is 12th in New Zealand. Our U15 coxed quad scull also made the B final and finished 5th.
Volleyball
Senior A - 8th place in Division 1 and Senior B in 13th place in Division 3
Rugby 7’s
Both the senior and junior teams played in the NISS championships but were up against a very tough competition. U18 placed 4th and U16 - 5th place.
Waka Ama
First time in a couple of years we have sent a team to the Nationals and they came away with great results. 1st place in the TGC/TBC W12 250m and 6th in U16 W6 500m.
Canoe Slalom
Tess Pateman, Kiarni Sperling and Rosie Rex got 12 medals throughout the NZSS Championships and won the Best All Girls School Trophy and Best Small School trophy as well as Kiarni winning the U18 K! And C1 trophy.
