The colours! The smiles! The competition!

We had a new House event in the calendar this year, ‘The Festival of Sports’. Our akongā brought everything they had to celebrate our last House event of the school year. Led imperiously by our amazing Deputy Head Prefects Sara Esterman and Honey Cooney, our entire student body was involved in this day of fun and laughter.

The Festival of Sports, originally intended to be held in Term 1, was illuminated with incredible weather and positivity. The day was structured with four rotations, during which our cohort groups rotated and participated in fun "athletics" activities! From the gully obstacle course to reverse limbo... this day had it all! Our ākonga displayed our values well, with their mahi tahi and Mana Motuhake evident everywhere.

Congratulations to Batten House, who emerged victorious in the competition, and to everyone who participated and had fun!
