A team of fourteen students represented Tauranga Girls’ College at NZSS Schools Swimming Championships in the Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre.

The team included Trelise Chote, Addison Dawson, Alivia Jenkins, Niamh Manning, Bella-May Martin, Amelie Pearson, Jessica Pilbrow, Tetsani Poroa-Thompson, Ariana Roberts, Carina Roberts, Tahlia Roscoe, Annabelle Smith, Lily Smith and Maddy van Vliet. Our swimmers were involved in high-level completion, with many events featuring over 200 swimmers. Many of our swimmers achieved personal bests in their events. We were well-represented in relay events and narrowly missed a podium finish by margins of a second.

Individual Podium finishes included

• Tahlia Roscoe - 13 years - 3rd in 200m Butterfly Women Final

• Arianna Roberts - 16 years - 2nd in 200m Freestyle

  • 16 years - 3rd in 100m Freestyle

  • 16 years - 3rd 50m Butterfly

  • 16 years - 3rd in 50m Freestyle
