Tauranga Girls' College was well represented by a very capable group of cross-country runners at the BOP Secondary Schools event held at Waipuna Park on Wednesday, 14 May.

It was a glorious autumn day, and the track was in great condition.

The following students made up the team: Onnah Baxter, Tessa Baxter, Cleo Bell, Siana Eleftheriou, Alias Hargraves, Oona Hepburn, Molly Hyett, Morgan Laing, Amo Lehloesa, Maebh Manning, Molly Mayston, Sylvie Mayston, Zoe Omundsen, Maia Poutewera, Heidi Rickard, Hannah Rawson, Maddy Sherwood, Chloe Stockdill, Lillia Varley, and Nina Varley.  

TGC students finishing in the top six included-  Tessa Baxter - 5th in Y9 Girls, Molly Mayston 3rd in Junior Girls, Nina Varley 3rd in U17 Girls, Maia Poutawera 5th in Senior Girls, Heidi Rickard 6th in Senior Girls.

The students can be very proud of their efforts and look forward to further competition in the forthcoming weeks.
