11 teams headed to Taupo to take on Napier Girls' High School (NGHS) on Thursday 20 May.

It was an early start for approximately 120 of our students on the Thursday as they got on the bus to Taupo to play against NGHS. We had the following teams away:

Netball - Premier, Senior A and Junior A
Basketball - Premier and Junior A
Hockey - 1st XI, 2nd XI and Junior A
Football - 1st XI
Badminton - Kyra Addison, Elle Archer, Eesha Freemantle and Harmony Hohepa
Debating - Juniors, Seniors

As our school was hosting they started the day with a welcome and waiata. Then it was straight into the games and debating. It was a tough competition in all areas throughout the day. All three of our Netball teams won but it was a close game with a point in it for most games. The Basketball Premier team only missed out by one point as well! Our Junior A Hockey girls drew 1-1 and our senior debating team won. 

We finished with a prize giving with each team throughout the day nominating a Fairplay award and Player of the Day for their opposition, and the overall school winner for the day. NGHS took the win but we hope to bring it back home next year.
