Kotahitanga Teacher Only Day

Kāhui Ako —

Tauranga Girls' College kaiako and teacher aids joined together with our 15 other kura across the Tauranga Peninsula Kāhui Ako for our inaugural Teacher Only Day.

This day brought together approximately 700 people from across the community of learning, including Early Childhood, primary, intermediate, and secondary schools alongside Iwi and other external organisations.The day provided networking and learning opportunities and saw the launch of the Tect and Ministry of Education funded project Te Tai Whanake ki Tauranga Moana, inspirational keynote presenters Graham Bidois-Cameron from the Bay of Plenty District Health Board and acclaimed artist Graham Hoete (Mr G).

The day was also made up of two 40 minute workshop sessions across a range of areas which provided valuable learning experiences.

It was great to have our Tauranga Girls' College Prefects there on their day off giving service to the wider community of learning supporting with registration, carparking, catering, set up, and general organisation.
