I did this painting because I am deeply in love with the night, and despite being a tad bit scared of the ocean, I still have a deep love for the beauty of it.

The story begins with two people who love each other very much, so much so that the gods decided to make them the sun and moon.  Only being able to see each other at the brink of dawn or dusk. Never being able to see each other. Over time, the moon started to make their creations. The moon made the sea and everything that lives inside of it, and the moon loved its creation very dearly, whenever they got the chance, they would gaze upon the sea and admire their creations endlessly.

The sun, on the other hand, absolutely despised the sea. The sea reminded them too much of the moon, their old love that they missed so dearly. Why, at the brink of dawn, would they gaze upon the sea, instead of them? Their love? The one they loved since the beginning? This felt like a betrayal, and the sun started to resent the sea, jealous, and envious.

They hated everything the moon made and tried to destroy it by overheating themselves. But no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't destroy them.
