Term 2 Reports & Te Ara Ako/ Parent Teacher Interviews
On Friday 3 June Term 2 Reports were emailed to all whānau. Our Term 2 Reports and Te Ara Ako interviews are the basis of important information sharing that helps to inform ākonga learning.
“The vision of the New Zealand Curriculum is for our young people to be confident, connected, actively involved, lifelong learners. The purpose of reporting is to share information about ākonga learning, progress, and achievement towards this vision in ways that support further learning”. (TKI, nd)
Our Te Ara Ako evenings provide an excellent opportunity to connect with subject teachers regarding your young person’s progress and achievement reflected in their Term 2 reports. We are offering two ways for you to connect, either via zoom or through face to face conversations. This is for both junior and senior students.
Following the learnings made from remote and hybrid teaching and our whānau feedback we are wanting to be responsive to the needs of our whānau and capture this opportunity by offering a digital platform for Te Ara Ako Learning conferences alongside our traditional face-to-face conversations.
This allows flexibility for those whānau who could be out of town locations and also for whānau to choose whether they would prefer a Zoom OR face-to-face hui.
