TGC - Science —

Twenty of our Year 10 and 11 Science students had the fantastic opportunity to attend a hands-on STEM programme run by the Kudos Science Award Trust in Hamilton. The programme aimed to ignite students’ passion for science with various interactive activities and experiences from numerous Science industries.

Our students participated in multiple activities, including controlling robots, planning a new city, designing drainage systems, planning riparian planting along a stream, creating a webpage, and learning about exciting roles in the health sector.

Kay Daniel, a Year 11 student, shares her feedback about the experience. “It was a very fun and inclusive day. We learned many things about science, the environment, engineering, and technology. I learnt about possible pathways we could take in Science, like working for North Power. My favourite part was winning prizes for getting questions right and playing the games with the robots.”
