International trip to Rotorua

International —

22 International students and staff were fortunate enough to be able to visit Rotorua in Term 3 and experience the beautiful Redwood Forest, Gondola and Luge and relax in the Polynesian Spa followed by a Kapiti ice cream.

The group could choose between the Tree Top walk or the Altitude Walk. The Tree Top walk consisted of a 700m walk suspended 20m high amongst trees as old as 118 years, accessible by 28 swing bridges suspended over the native fauna and sweeping silver ferns. The more adventurous group chose the Altitude Walk, which is 650m long, with 25 bridges, 3 flying foxes, 2 spirals and suspended 25m high.

Soaking in the Polynesian Pools was a great way to end the adrenaline filled day.
