On Saturday 25 July and Sunday 26 July two of our Year 9 students Jas Neale and Chloe Edwards competed in the North Island Secondary Schools Indoor Bowls Championships held in Mount Maunganui.

Jas and Chloe competed in the paired event and had some tough competition, up against last year's intermediate New Zealand Champion. They had a successful Saturday morning which qualified them into the top 12 final.

On Sunday they had the singles event. Both girls had another successful day. Chloe made it into the top 20 and then to the top 16. Jasmine just missed out in qualifying into the top 20 but competed in the plate round where she finished 5th.

This was a great achievement for both girls in their first Secondary School event out of all of the North Island schools. Congratulations to the girls and we hope to see more of their amazing results from future competitions.
