Last week, students from our Futures Academy Programme had the privilege of participating in the Toi Ohomai pōhiri at their Windermere Campus.

On Wednesday 12 February they were officially welcomed onto the marae as part of their induction into the academy for 2025.

The pōhiri served as a meaningful occasion, where students were introduced to their tutors, learned more about their upcoming courses, met with students from neighbouring kura and familiarised themselves with the Toi Ohomai campus.

It was an important event that allowed students to feel at home in their new learning environment, laying the foundation for a successful academic journey ahead.

Tertiary Provider First Round Visits

We are pleased to announce that several tertiary providers will be visiting our school soon to meet with students and provide valuable advice on study options for 2026.  These visits offer an excellent opportunity for students to learn more about their future educational pathways and explore university options.

The university representatives will be available in P2 (next to the Careers office) on the following dates:

• University of Auckland - Wednesday 26 February, 1.30pm

• Victoria University - Wednesday 5 March, 1.30pm

• Otago University - Thursday 6 March, 1.30pm

• Massey University - Friday 7 March, 1.30pm

• Canterbury University - Wednesday 12 March, 1.30pm

• Waikato University - Thursday 13 March, 1.30pm

• AUT - Wednesday 26 March, 1.30pm

We encourage students to attend these sessions to explore their study options, ask questions, and gather useful information for their future studies.  We look forward to seeing our students take advantage of this fantastic opportunity!

High School Exchanges

All interested students Y10 - Y13 and their parents are welcome.  An experienced staff member and returnees will share information about the destinations we are offering in 2025 and 2026.
