HGHS Exchange
The recent summer sports exchange against Hamilton Girls’ High saw Tauranga Girls’ College athletes showcase exceptional skill, sportsmanship, and determination.
Competing teams included Volleyball Prems 2, Basketball 3x3 (junior and senior), Futsal (junior and senior), and Touch Rugby.
Volleyball Prems 2 secured an impressive victory over HGHS Prem 1, while both Basketball 3x3 teams claimed dominant wins. Despite hard-fought matches, the Futsal and Touch Rugby teams were unable to secure wins but demonstrated resilience and teamwork throughout the competition.
The energy and awhi brought by the TGC athletes and supporters were undeniable. Across all teams, regardless of the final score, the athletes upheld the values of perseverance and sportsmanship.
As part of the exchange, Hamilton Girls’ High captains awarded a ‘Player of the Match’ chocolate to a standout player from each TGC team. Congratulations to:
