The wonderful Wakari School gardeners have been busy planting seedlings kindly donated by Mitre 10 in our garden! We planted cabbage, courgettes, spring onions, corn and broccolli. We also planted some gorgeous marigolds. We think our garden is looking pretty amazing!
The clever gardeners also created a brand new garden bed out of a huge plastic container! The enthusiastic children drilled holes in the bottom of the container to make sure that the water would be able to drain away from our potatoes that we planted in the newest bed.
The Wakari School Garden Group meets up every Tuesday lunchtime (weather permitting) at the school's garden. All children are welcome to come by and give gardening a go!
