Confederation of Postgraduate Medical Education Councils (CPMEC) awards

We have begun reaching out to interns, prevocational educational supervisors, directors of clinical training, chief medical officers, and other relevant stakeholders to seek nominations for the 2024 CPMEC Junior Doctor of the Year and Clinical Educator of the Year Awards.

These annual awards, presented at the ANZ Prevocational Medical Education Forum (ANZPMEF), acknowledge individuals who have made significant contributions to improving prevocational medical education and training.

Nominees for the Junior Doctor of the Year Award must be PGY1 or PGY2 doctors. PGY3 doctors may be nominated; however, contributions must be restricted to their PGY1 and/or PGY2 years and their nomination must be endorsed by their Director of Clinical Training or Chief Medical Officer.

The Aotearoa | New Zealand nominee for the ANZ Junior Doctor of the Year Award will be awarded Te Tāura Taiea, Aotearoa | New Zealand Intern Doctor of the Year Award.

Nominees for the Clinical Educator of the Year must be involved in the teaching, supervision, guidance, mentoring and support of PGY1 and PGY2 doctors and be nominated exclusively by PGY1 and PGY2 doctors.

The Aotearoa | New Zealand nominee for the ANZ Clinical Educator of the Year will be awarded Te Ahorangi Taiea, Aotearoa | New Zealand Clinical Educator of the Year Award.
