In the spirit of acknowledging contributions, I would also like to take a moment to recognise Dr Curtis Walker, our outgoing Chair. Curtis’s mahi and unwavering commitment to the Medical Council have played a pivotal role in shaping the organisation over the years. His leadership has been marked by a dedication to excellence, a commitment to ethical standards, and a passion for advancing the medical profession and ensuring public safety.

As we bid farewell to Curtis, we look toward the future with a sense of optimism and enthusiasm. The Council remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding the highest standards of medical practice, and we are confident that the legacy left by Curtis will continue to guide us on this journey.

In the coming months, we anticipate positive developments and exciting prospects for the Medical Council's future. The groundwork laid by Council sets the stage for continued growth, innovation, and collaboration within our profession and stakeholder organisations.

In closing, I extend my sincere thanks to all our honourees, to Dr Curtis Walker for his invaluable contributions, and to each member of the Medical Council for their dedication.
