To finish our unit on Natural Disasters, Year 3 and 4 students had a fun, hands on day putting some of their learning into practice with some survival skill activities.

Teachers and students braved the wind and rain and learned how to:

-build a shelter our of tarpaulins and rope

-cook on tin-can stoves

-filter dirty water with a homemade filter

-get out of an 'earthquake shaken' room

-use a life jacket

-administer basic first aid
