A big shout out to Bunnings, Mt Roskill who has kindly donated paint and brushes for our cultural walkway project. Thank you, Bunnings – you are awesome! Now we can’t wait to start the project.

What is this Cultural Walkway Project?

The Whānau Wednesday leadership team has been working on a plan to make the walkway entrance to school at the corner of Mt Albert and Mt Eden Roads more attractive. So, the outside classroom walls alongside the concrete path are to be hung with decorated wooden discs reflecting the cultures at our school. The designs for these will be the result of collaboration between students and parent artists/designers. A competition has started and all students have been invited to submit a proposed design that represents their culture. The students of the winning designs will have the opportunity to work with the professional artists and have their signatures added to the final art pieces.
