Covid 19 Update
27th August 2020
Good afternoon,
We are excited to be welcoming our students back to school next week at Level 2. We would like to remind you of the processes and protocols in place to keep all our students and staff safe.
Listed below are the FAQ’s for level 2, our full document outlining Level 2 Health and safety at Three Kings School is on the website.
Pick up’s and drop off’s
Pick up and drop off is from the field, the top gate at Mt Albert and Mt Eden roads is closed.
Students can go up to their classrooms at 8:30, we will have a bell to make this easier for children.
Rata teachers will come down at 8:30 to collect their students who are on the field at this time and will bring them down in the afternoon.
Our newest students to the school, in Room 12 and 10, can be accompanied by a parent to class at 8:50 – these parents can sign in at the classroom. Mrs BD and Miss Neary will walk the students down to the field at the end of the day.
Although we are not doing staggered pick up’s Rata students will make their way down from 2:55 to make finding their parents easier.
Please ensure that adults maintain social distancing on the field and leave the paths free for our students with bikes and scooters.
Any adult who needs to come into the school needs to come to the office and sign in (and scan our QR code where possible).
General reminders
Drinking fountains are taped off so please ensure your child has a drink bottle with them (if they forget we will have paper cups available!)
Swimming will be on hold for the first two weeks back and then we will re-evaluate.
Sports / cultural groups / Homework club will not happen in the first two weeks back.
Many zone sports have been cancelled or rescheduled. Our own cross-country date will be changed, and we will decide closer to the date if this can be run with spectators.
Our Science Fair will go online! Look out in Hail for more information about this over the next few weeks.
Device returns
We were very pleased to get over 70 devices out to support our students online learning. The priority on Monday will be collecting these back in, cleaning them and distributing them back to the classrooms they came from (not necessarily your child's classroom). We will have a table set up outside the hall on Monday morning where we will be collecting these. Please have the device and charger bagged back up with the child’s name and room number.
Ngā mihi
