Wet & Wild Wavepools

Maria Kroonenberg —

Splish, splosh, goggles on. All ready to swim. Yesterday the Toki Syndicate went to swim at Mt Albert Wave Pools.

Everyone ran into the cold pool. Within an hour, all of the Toki students raced over to the cafe to get hot chips and slushies but that didn’t bother us because we went there early and there was no line.

The hydro slide was really popular and everybody had an amazing time. Our personal favourite was the big waves when the siren sounded. After a cold swim we could enjoy the spa. Some daredevil students would jump off the cliff and into the deep end.

Sadly, at 2pm we had to leave. We all gathered around the patch of grass under the shade and waited for the bus. At the end of the day, we had a wonderful time and everyone was exhausted. We can't wait for my next visit to the Wave pools.
