The School Activity Fee plays a crucial role in making our school an engaging and enriching place for your child's education. It supports all the exciting trips, visits, and incursions that enhance their learning journey. Each year, our team leaders plan these events with a budget of $100 per student per year.
Here are some examples of what the School Activity Fee covers for each team:
Koru Team: This fee has supported trips such as theatre visits, Marae visits and visits to the zoo, adding cultural and artistic dimensions to their learning experiences.
Porohita Team: It helps fund initiatives like Garden to Table, the Hangi, the upcoming sleepover, and various activities that promote practical skills and cultural awareness.
Toki Team: The fee contributes to the Science Roadshow, offsite sports, and enrichment activities, sparking curiosity and a love of learning.
Additionally, the fee supports special events like the recent theatre company visit, Professor Boom's exciting science demonstration last year and Life Education, all of which bring our curriculum to life.
Why We Need Your Support
Currently, families who have not paid the Activity Fee are asked to contribute to each individual event. However, as the number of parents who have not paid the fee increases, it places an extra burden on our teachers, taking away teaching and learning time as they are required to chase up families for each activity.
How You Can Help
To alleviate this pressure on teacher time and ensure a smooth and enjoyable learning experience for all students, we kindly request that all families who have not paid the Activity Fee do so at their earliest convenience.
Payment Options: The Activity Fee can be paid in full at the beginning of the year, which is the school's preference. This helps us better plan and budget for the year. However, we understand that this might be challenging for some families, so we also offer the option to pay it term by term.
Payment Methods: You can easily pay the Activity Fee online via KINDO, or if you prefer, you can visit our school office, where our friendly office team will be happy to assist you with the payment process.
