April Autism Awareness Month
Did you know April is World Autism Awareness month?
What is Autism?
Autism or ASD Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects cognitive sensory and social processing, changing the way people see the world and interact with others.
Autism affects approximately 93,000 New Zealanders. Autism NZ has worked continuously with the community to deliver thousands of educational programmes that increase public understanding of autism. Autism NZ assist individuals and their family/whanau members to learn about autism and find the services they need. If you would like to know more about Autism you can visit the following website autismnz.org.nz.
As a school we would like to acknowledge every person living with autism. At Three Kings School our students with autism bring a wide range of skills and qualities that are unique.
